The COMMITTED series continues July 1 with Don Anthony and Kris Ekeren of USA Fencing. Both trailblazers in the sport, Anthony and Ekeren will discuss the sport's value to women and girls and how the sport continues to evolve to meet the needs of the athlete and fan.

Anthony calls Columbus home and is a notable sports professional, entrepreneur and business leader who has positively impacted the sport.  He has introduced new technologies and organizational solutions that have proven to be a game-changer for the industry. A world-class fencer, Anthony has represented Team USA at two Senior World Championships and has been a perennial U.S. National finalist for more than 30 years. He won the silver medal in Porec, Croatia at the 2010 Veterans World Championships, placed in the top eight at the 2012 Veteran Worlds in Krems, Austria and is the reigning U.S. National Champion in Veteran Men’s Sabre (50-59).

Ekeren is a veteran of the sports industry and joined the USA Fencing family in 2011 with a wealth of experience. She is currently the second vice chair for the Association of Chief Executives of Sport (ACES) – an organization whose members include the CEOs and executive directors of 60-plus National Governing Bodies within the Olympic family.
